Summer fruits

Our blueberry bushes have starting bearing pretty little clusters of blueberries.

And we even have signs of the first strawberries of the season too.

Last year our blueberries were devoured by the birds, and the young strawberry plants didn't bear any fruit. Hoping that this year is better; we'll have to find a way to protect the berries from those greedy little beaks, so that we actually have a chance to enjoy the fruit ourselves.

Fruit salad!

Fun! It's so exciting to see the first fruits of your own plants! Let me know if you figure out how to protect those blueberries. My bushes are too young to produce this year, but I'll definitely need to know for next year...I hope!

Enjoy that fruit salad!
