A walk by the Cahaba

One of the best things about living in a smallish suburban city is the ability to enjoy wide open spaces and lots of greenery. The Cahaba River flows through Trussville, less than a mile from where we live. It is a very popular walking spot, although we don't often take the time to down there.

And it's always nice that we can take the dog with us. Atlas has been a lot more active since we have been getting cooler temperatures, so he loves his walks more than ever.

But he's not really much of a runner, so after Hamza gave him a couple of brisk runs he was happy to sit down and take a break.

Bilal, in his shorts, T-shirt and flip-flops complained of feeling cold, but a little running and jumping took care of that!

Beautiful day! We really should visit the Cahaba more often!
