My little toddler's speech is really taking off. His newest thing is the point to everything and say "What that?" If you redirect the question to him he will shrug his shoulders and say "I no" (I don't know) most of the time, and just giggle. He also says "Wuv oo!" (I love you) when I'm leaving in the morning, and a lot more sentences that actually make more sense. If you make the sound of any animal he will tell you the name of the animal, you can't stump him. He also knows the difference between a dump truck, a tanker or cement mixer, and can differentiate between a track excavator (he says "exvator"), a front loader, a backhoe, and other construction vehicles such as graders and rollers. At his age we were so proud that Hamza could differentiate between a truck and bus (Safa couldn't do it until after she turned three)! Of course Hamza can name virtually any fighter jet, and they all look the same to me! I guess they all have their own 'thing'.

I figure Bilal must be going through a growth spurt these days. He went to bed at 8:30pm last night and woke up at 9:30am (that's a record!), and then took another 3 and 1/4 hour nap at 12:30pm after lunch. He continues to eat well, and has really taken to regular milk. Not buying so much Pediasure will be like getting a small raise! Now if only I could be brave enough to see how well he does off his reflux medicine!

Bilal's posse. L to R: Bear, Baby Blue and Boy. He does a head count every day at nap time and bed time in his crib before he goes to sleep, naming each one.

It must be so exciting to hear Bilal starting to talk more and more! Sebastian just copies sounds and does some signs, and even that is amazing to me. I can't wait to hear him speaking in sentences!
